U.S. Bank Launches the Budweiser(R) Rewards Visa(R)
Platinum Card

In partnership with Anheuser-Busch, U.S. Bank will issue the
Budweiser(R) Rewards Visa(R) Platinum Card. Cardmembers can
earn 3 Specialty Rewards points for every $1 spent at
Budshop.com, Budweiser Genuine Collection consumer catalogs,
Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tours & Gift Shops and more. Plus,
cardmembers will earn 1 point for every dollar spent on all other
purchases. Once a cardmember accumulated 2,500 points a $25
Anheuser-Busch Merchandise Rewards Gift Card will
automatically be sent to them. In addition new cardmembers will
earn 1,000 bonus points after their purchase with their new
rewards credit card. Cardmembers can use their rewards gift
cards towards merchandise from Budshop.com and Budweiser
Genuine Collection consumer catalogs.
Discover Announces Purchase of Diners Club International

Discover Financial Service has signed an agreement with Citi to
purchase Diners Club International for $165 million. The
acquisition will give Discover a global reach that will result in
increased transaction volume and worldwide acceptance of
Discover Network cards. Diners Club issued the very first credit
card in 1950 and is now a premium credit card brand for affluent
consumers, businesses and travelers. Diners Club cardmembers
will keep all of the features related to their current card program
and can continue to use their cards as usual.
