Discover® Card Renames Popular Cash Back Credit Cards

Discover Financial Services announced that it will rename the
Discover Platinum Card to the Discover® MoreSM Card. The
Discover® MoreSM Card offers the 5% Cashback Bonus Get More
program which allows cardmembers to earn extra rewards in
popular spending categories. Discover® Card also renamed its
popular Discover Gas Card to the Discover® Open RoadSM Card.
The Discover® Open RoadSM Card offers cardmembers 5% cash
back on their first $1200 in annual gas and automobile
maintenance purchases. Cardmembers will also earn 1% cash
back on other purchase they make with the Discover® Open
RoadSM Card. In addition to these great rewards both the
Discover® MoreSM Card and the Discover® Open RoadSM Card
have no annual fees.
Bank of America Launches Rewards Program Geared
Towards Baseball Fans

Bank of America is giving fans the chance to get closer to the
game by offering the Extra Bases rewards program. Bank of
America, the official bank of Major League Baseball, has
announced that will launch the first full season of the Bank of
America MLB® Extra Bases™ credit card program. Cardmembers
enrolled in the Extra Bases rewards program will earn one point
for every net retail dollar spent. Cardmembers will be able redeem
their rewards points for regular season tickets, tickets to the 2007
All Star Game or official MLB merchandise. Reward Points can
also be redeemed for unique rewards such as announcing the
line up for an inning, throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, or
memorabilia used during the game such as baseballs or bases.
U.S. Consumer Credit Rises by 1.5%

The federal reserve issued the consumer credit report for
February which shows how much consumers are borrowing. The
report showed that revolving credit, which includes credit cards
and charge cards, rose at an annual rate of 3.4% in February.
Nonrevolving credit, made up of auto loans and personal loans,
increased at an annual rate of .4% during the same month. The
total revolving credit rose $2.5 billion to $883.9 billion.
Wells Fargo Offers Cardmembers Wind Power Rewards

Wells Fargo & Company has announced that it will give
cardmembers the option to redeem their reward points to support
renewable energy projects. Wells Fargo is the first financial
institution to make green power part of their rewards program.
Cardmembers enrolled in the Wells Fargo Rewards® programs
can use their debit card or credit card to earn reward points.
Those points can then be then be redeemed in 5,000 point
increments to help support the development of green power. In
addition to renewable energy rewards, Wells Fargo also offers gift
cards, merchandise, cash and airline tickets in its rewards
program. Wells Fargo is the largest purchaser of green power
according to the EPA and over 40% of the energy Wells Fargo
uses nationwide is offset by wind power.
